Unrated (Teil 1 & 9) und erstmals echtes 3D beim dritten Teil: neue "Friday the 13th Collection" kommt

Auf seiner Facebook-Seite hat das US-Label Scream Factory erstmals detaillierte Informationen zum kommenden Release der neuen "Freitag der 13."-Komplettbox herausgelassen (wir berichteten bereits) und dabei dürfte so manchem Jason-Fan das Wasser im Mund zusammenlaufen. So sind in der neuen Collection alle zehn Filme der klassischen Reihe mitsamt dem 2009er-Remake und dem Spin-off "Freddy vs Jason" enthalten. Freuen könnt ihr euch auf eine fantastische Bildqualität, so bekamen "Friday the 13th" (1980), "Friday the 13th Part 2" (1981), "Friday the 13th Part 3" (1982), "Friday the 13th: The Final Chapter" (1984) sowie "Jason Goes to Hell: The Final Friday" (1993) einen neuen 4K-Transfer spendiert. Darüber hinaus wird der dritte Teil erstmals im echten 3Dangeboten. Der erste Teil der Reihe sowie "Jason goes to Hell" werden zusätzlich im unrated-cut zu sehen sein. Dazu gibt es viele, viele Extras und ein 40-seitiges Booklet. Zu einem Preis von gerade einmal 130 Euro für 12 Filme auf 16 Discs. Veröffentlichungstermin ist natürlich der 13. Oktober 2020! Aber Achtung, die Blu-rays werden auf Region A (U.S. & Canada) beschränkt sein.

Freitag der 13. - In den USA als neues Box-Set von Shout Factory

Teile 1-4 mit neuen 4K-Abtastungen, Jason goes to Hell als Unrated Version

Jason goes to Hell - Die Endabrechnung (Original: Jason goes to Hell - The Final Friday, 1993) erschien bei uns auf VHS in der R-Rated Version und wurde zusätzlich noch etwas zensiert (Schnittbericht). Später wurde eine Unrated Version angefertigt, die über 2,5 Minuten länger war und auch auf DVD herauskam.

2013 wurde der Film zusammen mit Jason X (2001) in Deutschland auf Blu-ray veröffentlicht, in den USA kam etwa zeitgleich ein Set mit allen Teilen auf Blu-ray heraus (wir berichteten). Allerdings war von dem Film überall nur die R-Rated Version enthalten, obwohl es die Unrated Version in HD als Stream gab.

Für den 13. Oktober 2020 kündigte Shout Factory in den USA jetzt ein neues Box-Set auf Blu-ray an, dieses Mal mit 16 Discs, jeden Film auf einer eigenen Blu-ray und vielen guten Informationen. Denn neben einigen neuen Extras, wurden auch die ersten vier Teile neu in 4K abgetastet und Teil 3 wird weltweit erstmals als Blu-ray 3D (und auch in 2D) enthalten sein.

Außerdem wird Jason goes to Hell mit der R-Rated und Unrated Version in HD und neu in 2K abgetastet auf Blu-ray veröffentlicht werden. Das Set wird noch ein 40-seitiges Booklet beinhalten, auf 13.000 Stück limitiert sein und leider Region A locked.
